MACBA
Last Sunday, I spent the day with my mentor.
At his suggestion, we visited the MACBA to explore the exhibitions—and later, returned to my place to look at my own work. Much like my best friend had already nudged, I wasn’t seeking critique, just input.
MACBA was a wonder. And seeing it through the eyes of an art dealer made it richer. Despite our different cultures, generations, and ethnicities, the way we read the work was remarkably similar. Respect, curiosity, and the occasional full-body laugh carried us through.
We roamed from exhibit to exhibit, sharing insights. The third floor, dedicated to resistance and Pride, stood out to both of us.
Afterward, I was starving—so we grabbed food before heading to my apartment.
But the real tea came once we reached my studio.
